On Glass Images

On glass presents images that were originally shot on  either wet or dry plates. Included are ambrotypes, collodion negatives and dry plates. Once again the Earth figures prominently in the images.
Glass is a wonderful substrate. I use it for both collodion and gelatin images. In both cases the craft needed to do a good job requires experience and dedication. The emulsions for both wet plate and dry plate were made in my darkroom. Some emulsion are film (merely blue sensitive) some orthochromatic (blue and red sensitive).
