Dr. Greg's Historical & Modern Photography

Old Mill—Oakesdale

Picture
This photograph can no longer be made. The part on the left has been destroyed for fear of someone being hurt in it. While the loss of the portion of the building is no great architectural calamity it also adds to the meaning of this image. All beings, animate or inanimate, have a limited  existence in our apparent world. The mill itself still stands and has been opened to the public at times. The figure where the two structures intersect continues to live a valuable life.
