Dr. Greg's Historical & Modern Photography
The Mabee Farm is near Albany NY. The day we got there we were privileged to go along on a docent training walk and so learned a great deal more about it with five docents to two tourists! This plate was shot on a 4 x5 orthochromatic plate coated at the George Eastman Museum at a workshop. Notice the green trees. With a film plate they would not have been so well defined. Since then we have generally used orthochromatic plates. It was nice of the horses to stand so still for us—the were fiberglass models.
