Blue Bird Trail—Turnbull NWR—Winter 2016

Picture
We often walk the Blue Bird Trail in the Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge. In the Winter of 2016 the trail had several flooded portions and we had to find our way around them. We were carrying our Kodak 2D 5 x 7 and some dry plates we had coated a few days before. There is something so elemental about making your own emulsion and then going out and photographing the elements.
